February 21, 2002 – Present: Employed with Jancha, Struwin, & Jancha Law Office, 815 Myrtle Avenue, St. Joseph, MI 49085 where Jack is the lead attorney for providing legal defense for indigent defendants in misdemeanor cases in North Berrien County. Duties include scheduling of cases and attorneys to cover the caseload and conducting pre-trials, status conferences, probation violation hearings and trying misdemeanor cases. In addition, Jack is engaged in the general practice of law which includes Wills, Trusts, and small business matters.
April, 1997 – February 20, 2002: Served full-time, as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Berrien County, Michigan. From January 1, 1998 until December 31, 1998, Jack was in charge of the operations of the Berrien County Prosecutor’s Office in Niles, Michigan at the South County Building. Subsequently assigned to the Trial Division handling misdemeanor and felony prosecutions in North County as well as acting as Chairman of the Berrien County Gun Board.
July, 1978 - April, 1997: Part time Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Berrien County. Until September 1996, Jack’s duties consisted of being available on evenings and weekends to provide legal counsel and assistance to all police agencies in Berrien County, MI. In September, 1996, the demands upon the Prosecutor’s Office necessitated that Jack spend three days each week providing legal services for the prosecutor's office. These duties included review of misdemeanor and felony warrant requests, juvenile petition requests, conducting pre-trials and status conferences in District Court and trying both jury and non-jury cases, including Domestic Violence cases, in the District Court.
January, 1980 - December, 1982: Instructor at Lake Michigan College, Benton Harbor, MI teaching Business Law Courses. Maintained private law practice while teaching.
January, 1972 - May, 1975: Served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, in charge of the Welfare Fraud Division of the Berrien County Prosecutor’s Office.
January, 1971 - December, 1971: Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Calhoun County, MI as a trial attorney in District, Probate, and Circuit Court handling both misdemeanors and felonies. Established the Welfare Fraud Program for the Calhoun County Prosecutor's Office and served as the first staff attorney for the program.

September, 1961 - December, 1964: R.O.T.C. training at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan, commissioned December, 1964 as a Second Lieutenant, United States Army Reserve.
December, 1964 - January, 1969: Educational delay status while attending Law School and studying for the Michigan Bar Examination.
January, 1969 - December, 1970: Began active duty as a First Lieutenant. Attended Reserve Officer’s training at the U.S. Army Military Police School as well as training in Drug Investigation and Military Security. Served as a Military Police Officer at the Provost Marshall’s Office at Fort Hood, Texas, where duties included supervision of Military Police and acting as Duty Officer from time to time at the Post Stockade.
January, 1971 - December, 1971: Promoted to Captain in January, 1971 and served remaining time on active duty in South Vietnam as Assistant Chief Security Officer for the Post Exchange Service in Vietnam. Duties included Security checks of Post Exchange facilities throughout South Vietnam as well as criminal investigations of larcenies and black market activities. Received the Bronze Star for Meritorious Service.
