Paul Jancha, Sr. was born in Kalamazoo County and raised in Ingham County, Michigan. He graduated from Mason High School in 1967 with highest honors and in the top ten of his class. While in high school, Paul prided himself in his participation in football and track. His educational success and athletic talent brought him to Alma College where he was a member of the 1967 undefeated, MIAA Champion, Alma Scott football team. Paul Jancha, Sr. graduated Magna Cum Laude, again in the top ten of his class, at Alma College in 1971.
In 1971 he entered the University of Notre Dame Law School, and in May of 1974 he received his Juris Doctor degree. While yet in law school, Paul completed the State Bar of Michigan examination and was admitted to the practice of law on May 22, 1974, four days after his law school graduation.
While in law school, as a first year student, Paul Jancha, Sr. created a senior citizen legal assistance program to assist seniors in Berrien County with various legal concerns. As a second year law student Paul took a position working to assist indigent individuals with family law and real estate concerns. In the fall of his third year, Paul was hired by the law firm of Globensky, Bleich and Peterson where as a law clerk he provided criminal defense to juvenile offenders and individuals charged with misdemeanor crimes.
In May of 1974, Paul joined Globensky, Bleich and Peterson as an associate attorney and engaged in the private practice of law with emphasis in the areas of divorce, family law, and criminal defense. During the last thirty-seven years Paul Jancha, Sr. has maintained that same type of private practice. His practice now extends throughout all of Southwest Michigan in the counties of Berrien County, Cass County, St. Joseph County, Van Buren County, Kalamazoo County, Calhoun County, Allegan County, Ottawa County, and Kent County. He is additionally licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan dealing with criminal defense matters.

Paul spoke on behalf of Muhammad when he returned from Iraq in November 1990 after securing the release American hostages held in Baghdad. He feels great pride in having introduced Muhammad to the marketing world by securing his first contract with NFL properties and sharing his attendance experience at Super Bowl XXVI in 1992.
